El 13 de Noviembre se estrenó Los favoritos de Midas en Netflix. Hay solo una temporada de 6 episodios. Esa series está inspirada en la novela corta de Jack London The Minios of Midas.

The story begins with Víctor Genovés (Luis Tosar) received a letter from ¨Los favoritos de Midas¨ which said that if he doesn´t pay 50 millions euro, every 5days one random citizen will die.

Víctor Genovés who has recently inherited el Grupo Malvar has to make decision in a difficult situation. To maintain his control of company, to struggle between his conscience and morality, to be a better father, etc.

Not only Genovés but also Madrid is in a tough situation. People are protesting against government policy(increase of electric charge and health care reform). The mysterious group that threatens Genovés uses this social chaos to articulate their will.

The life and death of unspecified people in his decision. Is it right to give money to the blackmailer to avoid making more victims? If not, isn't it to turn a blind eye to the murder?

This mini series runs very fast, hard to pause, keeps you thinking even after you've finished watching.

The first season ended with a lot of doubts and riddles. So it looks like there will be another story coming. I'm looking forward to the next season releases soon!
